Advanced Materials Chemistry

1. Introduction

We are interested in the advancement of synthesis and explore the unique chemical and physical properties of the materials. Advanced Materials Research group brings about the transformational efficiency enhancements of Materials Chemistry in various industries including energy (power generation to renewable sources), electronics and health care by fundamental approach. We believe in the breadth of application naturally requires a multidisciplinary community, including but not limited to materials scientists, chemists, engineers, physicists, and biologists, all converging to solve challenging problems at nanoscales.

2. Vision:

To be the leading laboratory in designing the Materials for the Energy and Biological applications

3. Mission:

  • To make the key contributions to the simple, and efficient synthesis methods.
  • To conduct significant research to create and disseminate knowledge to the academic community.
  • To advance knowledge and pushing the boundaries of Materials Chemistry in Energy and Biological     applications.
  • To further enhance our research to the product level for the betterment of mankind.

4. Research topics:

  • CVD Graphene and 2D Materials;
  • Clean Transfer of Large area graphene onto the dielectric materials.
  • Energy Materials: Electrocatalysis; Solar cells
  • Triboelectric Nanogenerators
  • Desalination of water.
